'Generation by Knoll’ bags Gold Award at NeoCon trade show in Chicago

Published: 17-Jun-2009

'Be', the task chair from New Zealand’s office seating designer Formway, bagged the Gold Award at NeoCon 2009, the US furniture industry trade show held from June 15-17 at the Merchandise Mart, Chicago.

'Be' retails under the brand 'Generation by Knoll', in the US, and is licensed to the global furniture company Knoll, based in Pennsylvania.

Knoll’s showroom at NeoCon showcased the Formway design with dozens of chairs stage-lit inside the large window frontage.

‘Be’ features breakthrough combination of materials and features that allow the chair to support the user in multiple work postures.

'Generation' claims to be the first work chair that lets the user sit and work. The chair rearranges itself in response to its users’ movements. Unique elastic design enables unrestrained movement that supports a range of natural postures and diverse work styles.

'Generation' will soon launch in New Zealand and Australia.
