Beijing International Airport gets new signage

Published: 29-Jul-2009

Beijing International Airport has installed WebDT SA3000 signage provided by DT Research Inc., a US-based developer of information appliances for vertical markets.

The signage is to be installed in the newly opened Terminal 3 at the baggage claim area, and the second signage will be installed at the entrance gates to domestic and international departure halls.

Based on the Intel Core 2 Duo processor technology, the signage is installed in the airport to showcase advertising content. DT Research, Intel Corporation, and AirMedia will head the installation of their digital technology.

The Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Microsoft Windows XP Embedded operating system can support major media file formats, real-time or scheduled content playback, flexible screen layouts with multiple zones and layers and automatic content download recovery.

AirMedia will install 600 of the SA3000 signage appliances that can be quickly updated. The signs measure 82 inches in height and 108 inches in width. The WebDT SA3000 signage systems use less amount of energy and remain cool.

The WebDT Content Manager software system will also be provided with the signage system. The content layout and last minute changes can be made off site too. With wireless operations, the signage features high definition resolution of 1920x1080 pixels.
